Our short-term and long-term skilled nursing care features additional specialty care services including:
Certified Alzheimer’s/dementia care unit
Our certified memory care program is a secure memory care neighborhood offering specialized, supportive care for those living with memory loss and is a certified Alzheimer’s and dementia care unit as designated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Our pulmonary treatment program provides enhanced pulmonary care to residents who need continued management of respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis, emphysema, bronchiectasis, sleeping disorders, congestive heart failure, and post-acute respiratory failure. A board-certified Pulmonary Nurse Clinician is on site or available for consultation to nursing and rehabilitation staff as needed. Therapy services are available up to seven days a week, with specialized pulmonary exercises and education incorporated into general rehabilitation.
We are very proud of our wound care outcomes. Part of our success results from having two certified wound nurses on staff who specialize in wound care and assist in assessing, treating and managing surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and related wound and skin conditions.
Restorative nursing care is that little extra help for those who don’t necessarily need rehab, but still need additional assistance to continue improving or to maintain their current level of independence. From exercises to increase or maintain strength and mobility to assistance with dining, patients receive the encouragement, cues, and support they need.
We also arrange for specialized care, as needed, with a variety of medical professionals available to provide care on-site at Linda Manor Extended Care:
- Mental Health
- Portable x-ray and lab services
